On Jan 13, 2012, the 784th episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was aired. The show stars Dilip Joshi, Sailesh Lodha, Disha Wakani and Bhavya Gandhi in the lead. The story is inspired from the famous comedic column ‘Duniya Ne Undha Chasma’ by Mr. Tarak Mehta.
This story revolves around “Gokuldham Co-operative Society” and its numerous colorful residents facing everyday topical issues which are also socially relevant. Among the main characters are Jethalaal’ (Dilip Joshi) an illiterate Gujarati businessman, ‘Taarak Mehta’ (Sailesh Lodha), is his neighbour. ‘Taarak is a mentor of sorts for Jethalaal and is mostly found in his company. Jethalaal’s family is his plain-jane wife ‘Daya Ben’ (Disha Wakani) and a trouble-maker son ‘Tapu’ (Bhavya Gandhi).

In the last episode, it is due to Tapu’s constant menacing behavior towards the residents of Gokuldham, they have finally served ‘Jethalaal’ the ultimatum to reform ‘Tapu’ or leave the premises.
For this Jethalaal’ calls on his father’s ‘Champaklal’ (Amit Bhatt) assistance and asks him over from the village. This plan however backfires since the grandfather simply joins hands with the grandson to have quite a joyride at the cost of a very troubled Jethalaal.
